Being a student at Faculty of Agriculture

The Faculty of Agriculture provides accommodation to all students, since university campus is just a few steps away from the four faculties. Our university has four modern residential halls connected to the Internet, cable TV, equipped with cooking facilities and washing machines. The number of accommodation places available is approximately 1,500. Inside the campus there are health care facilities for students.

Students can eat their lunch at the cafeteria-restaurant located near the University campus and famous for the products it offers. It was refurbished and modernized in 2008, and it covers an area of approximately 800 square meters having a capacity of 350 seats.

For sports oriented staff and students, there is a complex consisting of 2 halls and 3 sports fields, to which we also add two football fields, a mini soccer field, two artificial tennis court yards a racing track, a floodlighting system, and even a rugby field and sauna.

In short, one can say that the young people studying at the University of Agricultural Sciences and Veterinary Medicine have an entire “mini-town” at their disposal.

Students have always been encouraged to get involved in extra-curricular activities, be they sportive (football, tennis, volleyball, horse jumping and ridding competitions), artistic (Mugurelul,the student ensemble of folk dances), or professional (Agronomiada).

Agronomiada is one of the most important competitions for our students, with a long tradition, organized each year in one of the five academic centers with agronomic profile in our country (Iasi, Bucharest, Timisoara, Cluj-Napoca and Craiova).

The students are also involved in scientific debate groups, clubs, cultural and environment protection activities.
