Invitation

  We are pleased to invite you to participate in the International Scientific Symposium "ANIMAL AND FOOD SCIENCES AND SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT", organized between October 19 – 20, 2023, by the FACULTY OF FOOD AND ANIMAL SCIENCES, within the IASI UNIVERSITY OF LIFE SCIENCES.
  This scientific event brings together at each edition outstanding personalities from academia and research, as well as specialists and practitioners. The symposium is a good opportunity to promote the latest achievements in the field, to stimulate innovative creativity and to develop partnerships to achieve European projects and programs. Therefore, knowing the research trends in the field and appreciating your professional prestige, we have the honour to invite you to participate in the works of the scientific symposium.
   Within this international scientific event, current issues in various fields, specific to animal science, food sciences and sustainable development, structured in three sections, will be addressed:
  • SECTION I. ANIMAL SCIENCES ENGINEERING
  • SECTION II. FOOD SCIENCES ENGINEERING
  • SECTION III. TOURISM AND MANAGEMENT.
   Papers accepted by the Scientific Committee, written in English, will be published online, and those based on current research topics and highlighting valuable scientific results will be included in the printed volume “ANIMAL & FOOD SCIENCES JOURNAL IASI” (UEFISCDI B + journal and indexed in CAB – abstract, CAB – full text, INDEX COPERNICUS, AGRIS, EBSCO), edited under the auspices of the “Ion Ionescu de la Brad” Publishing House ISSN 2821 – 6644 and ISSN-L 2821 – 6644.

 

   Papers will be presented in English languages.

 FACULTY OF FOOD AND ANIMAL SCIENCES, from the IASI UNIVERSITY OF LIFE SCIENCES organizes every year a Scientific Conference. This traditional event is very appreciated by Romanian Academic community. The complex themes come from all domains which have practical contributions to agricultural development and to improve rural people’s life. Each edition represents an important scientific event and a good opportunity to promote the research results from agricultural domain.
 The aim of this conference is to make easier the integration of specialists from European Union in international scientific community and to raise the visibility of their contribution. Each edition offers to the participants more information about present and future international activity from their fields of interest. The directly participation of representatives from the academic and business societies from many countries will allow the theoretical and practical solutions to be spread and implemented.
 The scientific conference is organized yearly, in October, and reunites participants from Romania and from other countries. All papers are reviewed by recognized specialists from Romania and from other countries. There will be published only the papers with scientific quality, which fulfill the specific areas of symposium sections.

 

Harta Europa   Geographical Location. Romania is situated in the central part of South Eastern Europe, on the lower Danube, which has its output on the Black Sea.
Area of Romania is 238,391 km2.
Borders: in North East - Ukraine, in the East - Republic of Moldavia, in the South East - Black Sea, in the South - Bulgaria, in the South West - Serbia and in the West - Hungary.
Romania's climate is moderate continental type with multi-average temperatures in April of between 10 and 200C and a pluviometric between 28 and 65 l / sqm.

Iasi climitate, in April, is soft with day temperature of 15-190C and night temperature 8-100C. Rain regime record higher values in this month.

Open: Tue. - Sun 10:00am - 5:00pm; closed on Mondays Free admission (not including museums). This remarkable construction (1906-1925), built in flamboyant neogothic style, stands partly on the ruins of a medieval royal court mentioned in documents dating from 1434. Today, the 365-room palace houses the Gheorghe Asachi Library and four of the city's museums: the Moldavian History Museum, the Ethnographic Museum, the Museum of Art and the Museum of Science and Technology (see museum details). The interior décor, with the lavish furnishings and magnificent staircase of the entrance lobby, can be admired free of charge, but tickets are required for entry to the museums.

 

 

 

National Theatre

Built in the late 19th century on the site of the old City Hall, this is one of the most elegant buildings in Romania. The architects were the Viennese Feller and Helmer who later built theatres in Cernauti and Sofia. Richly decorated in French-eclectic style, the theatre has one of the most splendid auditoriums in the country. It can seat 1,000 people and the acoustics are excellent. The theatre bears the name of the company's founder, Vasile Alecsandri (1821-1890), a renowned Romanian poet, playwright, politician and diplomat.

Built in neoclassical style in 1879 by an engineer, G. Fragneau, who worked with G. Eiffel & Co. in Paris (yes, the Eiffel who designed the Eiffel Tower), the hotel was one of the first in Europe to be molded on a metal frame. Throughout the years, many foreign diplomats and other personalities have stayed at the Traian.
In 1934, Greta Garbo spent some time here in secret during her love affair with John Gilbert.

Built in Italian Renaissance style, the St. Paraschiva Metropolitan Cathedral is the largest Orthodox church in Romania. Construction began in 1833 and ended in 1839, but its cupolas fell and the church remained in ruins until 1880, when, with the help of the Foundation of King Carol I, work started again, lasting until 1888. The vast interior was painted in 1887 by Gheorghe Tattarescu and the stained glass windows were completed by a Bavarian factory in Munich.

  Conceived as place for retreat and armed resistance, Cetatuia Monastery was built between 1669 – 1672 by the ruler Gheorghe Duca. For this reason, the exterior wall has fortifications with towers on the corners. Inside the walls, there are cells, the kitchen, the abbey with the refectory, cellars for the wine obtained from its own vineyard and ruler’s house with the Turkish bath. In the southern side, there can be find the gothic room “Lady Anastasia”, with the famous cellars of Cetatuia, of which they say that were connected through a tunnel to the Royal Court.

  The Catholic Cathedral, the center of the catholic life in iasi is based on the main boulevard in Iasi, seen from distance as a massive perfectly circular building, with a pointy cross on the top.
What is also interesting on it is the vast placed of stained glass, painted glass that adorns the windows everywhere, giving it a joyful view. It is situated on Stefan cel Mare Boulevard, no. 26, was built between 1782 to 1789.

  Located in the historic core of the city, near the Palace of Culture, the PALAS ensemble is a "city in the heart of the city". Designed and developed pursuant to the “lifestyle center” concept, PALAS integrates in this unique complex areas for retail, hotels, A-class offices, apartments, underground parking lot with approximately 2,500 parking spaces and a perimeter set up for entertainment, all these on a built area of over 270,000 square meters.
