A. Admission file for candidates who are citizens of the European Union / the European Economic Area / the Swiss Confederation member states (EU/EEA/SC)

(1) All the documents from the admission file must either be originally written in Romanian, English or French, or they must be legalized copies translated into one of these languages.

(2) The admission file for the university will contain the following documents:

  • The Application form for admission to studies at IULS, written in Romanian or English, all requested information filled in
    (available online on the university’s website: https://www.uaiasi.ro/admission/download.php).

  • Diplomas or Certificates of graduation for graduates of 2023, as applicable:
    - for admission to undergraduate (BA) studies (1st Bologna cycle): Baccalaureate diploma or a certificate of graduation, that replaces the diploma;
    - for students who graduate in the summer 2023 - copy, if the study document is issued in Romanian, English, French language;
    - copy and certified translation (in original) in Romanian language for the documents issued in other languages;

  • Proof of completion (transcript of records) of high school, with subjects and marks/points obtained, for the diplomas mentioned at point c - copy, if the study document is issued in Romanian, English, French language; copy and certified translation (in original) in Romanian language for the documents issued in other languages

  • Birth certificate

  • Passport – legible copies of pages 1 to 4 from the passport, which specify information about the person and contain a photo – or any other national document of identity which is recognized on EU territory.

  • Medical certificate, in a language of international circulation (English, French) to prove that the person registered for studies does not suffer from spreading diseases or other illnesses that are incompatible with the future profession. The University reserves the right to further request the opinion of a specialized medical commission (Occupational Medicine) to check candidates with chronic diseases/disabilities

  • Marriage Certificate, or any other document which certifies the change of name, if applicable.

  • Language Certificate or proof of having completed at least 4 consecutive years of studies in the language of instruction of the program of studies for which the candidate applies
    If the candidates are native speakers of that language or they come from a country where the language of instruction of the program of studies at the University (IULS Iaşi) is recognized as an official language, the language certificate is not necessary.

  • Proof of payment for file evaluation fee - 100 €

  • Four (4) photos passport size

All the candidates who want to study Veterinary Medicine in English will send their admission files either by e-mail at vet-admission@uaiasi.ro or to: "Ion Ionescu de la Brad" University of Life Sciences Iaşi, Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, Aleea Mihail Sadoveanu nr. 8, cod 700489, Iaşi, ROMANIA, with the mention "Veterinary Medicine English Program Admission".
The deadline for receiving the files is 12th of July 2023.

The candidates must also send the file containing the documents required for the recognition of studies by CNRED to the University (IULS Iaşi) and the University will forward the file to the Ministry of Education for initiating the procedures of recognition of the diplomas and issue the certificate of recognition of studies, needed for the candidates’ enrolment. The deadline for receiving the file is 12th of July 2023.

CNRED

Candidates who are citizens of EU/EEA/SC member states will include the documents required for the recognition of diplomas and certificates by CNRED (the National Centre for Recognition and Equivalence of Diplomas) (https://cnred.edu.ro/en/recognition-studies-european-citizens-admission-undergraduate-studies-in-Romania) in the physical admission file, or, in case they have already obtained the CNRED certificate of recognition of studies, they must submit the certificate itself.

Legalization / Authentication

Authentication of study documents (*)

  1. Diplomas from Moldova do not need any form of authentication.
    Diplomas issued before 2008 (and diplomas issued after 2008 which cannot be verified online (https://ctice.md/verif) shall be accompanied by a Certificate of Authenticity from the Ministry of Education of Moldova (https://mecc.gov.md/ro/content/autentificarea-si-recunoasterea-actelor-de-studii#faq-Autentificarea-actelor-de-studii) which shall be submitted in original.
  2. The Hague Apostille
    (https://www.hcch.net/en/instruments/conventions/specialised-sections/apostille) is requested for diplomas from countries which are parties to the Hague Apostille (https://www.hcch.net/en/instruments/conventions/status-table/?cid=41), issued by the competent authorities (https://www.hcch.net/en/instruments/conventions/authorities1/?cid=41) in the issuing countries. The Hague Apostille is requested for diplomas from Italy, Greece, Spain, Portugal and Cyprus.
  3. Diplomas issued in countries which are not parties to the Hague Apostille Convention shall be authenticated (https://www.mae.ro/node/6869) or accompanied by an authentication certificate from by the competent authorities in the issuing countries;

(*) Legalization/Authentication is done by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs from the issuing country, the Embassy/Consular Office of Romania in the issuing country and the Romanian Ministry of Foreign Affairs or by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in the issuing country, the issuing country’s Embassy/Consular Office in Romania and the Romanian Ministry of Foreign Affairs; for countries where Romania does not have a diplomatic mission or countries which do not have diplomatic missions in Romania, the study documents shall be legalized by the Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs from the issuing country;
(*) Legalization/Authentication exemption is allowed under the law of an international treaty to which Romania is party or on a reciprocity basis.

B. Admission file for candidates who are not citizens of the European Union / the European Economic Area / the Swiss Confederation member states (non-EU/EEA/SC)

(1) All the documents from the admission file must either be originally written in Romanian, English or French, or they must be legalized copies translated in Romanian.

(2) The admission file will be submitted in duplicate and must contain legalized copies of the following documents:

  • The Application form for the issuance of the Letter of Acceptance to studies
    (Annex 2 in the Methodology or available online on the university’s website: https://www.uaiasi.ro/admission/download.php)

  • The Application form for admission to studies at IULS, written in Romanian or English, all requested information filled in.
    (available online on the university’s website: https://www.uaiasi.ro/admission/download.php)

  • Diplomas of graduation:
    - for admission to studies undergraduate (BA) studies (1stBologna cycle): Baccalaureate diploma or a certificate of graduation, that replaces the diploma, for students who graduate in the summer of 2023

  • Transcript of Records / Diploma Supplement, for the diplomas mentioned at point c.

  • Birth certificate.

  • Passport – legible copies of pages 1 to 4 from the passport, which specify information about the person and contain a photo.
    At the date on which the Letter of Acceptance to studies is issued, the passport must be valid for at least another 6 months

  • Document specifying the permanent residence abroad in the home country (issued by a local authority) - copy

  • Medical certificate in an international language (English, French) to prove that the person registered for studies does not suffer from spreading diseases or other illnesses that are incompatible with the future profession. The University reserves the right to further request the opinion of a specialized medical commission (Occupational Medicine) to check candidates with chronic diseases/disabilitiesi. Marriage certificate, or any other document which certifies the change of name, if applicable.
