THE INFLUENCE OF GENETIC VARIABILITY ON THE GROWTH PERFORMANCE OF COMMON CARP IN A RECIRCULATING AQUACULTURE SYSTEM

Abstract
The paper is presenting some aspects regarding the influence of size on the breeding of 14-month common carp, in a recirculating aquaculture system. The experiment lasted 38 days, in four breeding units of 500 liters in volume each. Four types of variants were compared: V1-with a stocking density of 443 fish and a body weight of 44,45 g/fish (initial biomass of 39,38 kg/m3); V2- with a stocking density of 307 fish and a body weight of 63,85 g/fish (initial biomass of 39,21 kg/m3; V3- with a stocking density of 217 fish and a body weight of 89,98 g/fish (initial biomass of 39,05 kg/m3); V4- with a stocking density of 138 fish and a body weight of 141,5 g/fish (initial biomass of 39,05 kg/m3). The technological indicators that showed up at the end of the experiment revealed the following: the biomass gain in V1 was of 9,03 kg/m3, 9,67 kg/m3 in V2, 12,19 kg/m3 in V3, and 12,88 kg/m3 in V4; the specific growth rate (SGR) was of 0,54 g%/day (V1), 0,58 g%/day (V2), 0,71 g%/day (V3) and 0,75 g%/day (V4); the feed conversion ratio (FCR) was of 2,24 g pellets/g biomass gain (V1), 2,09 g pellets/g biomass gain (V2), 1,66 g pellets/g biomass gain (V3) and 1,57 g pellets/g biomass gain (V4). The research showed that common carp has a very good technological adaptability. The best growth performance was achieved in the variant with a smaller stocking density and a higher fish size.

Rezumat
In lucrare sunt prezentate aspecte privind influenta taliei asupra performantei cresterii puietului de crap (Cyprinus carpio), in vârsta de 14 luni, intr-un sistem recirculant de acvacultura industriala (RAS). Experimentul s-a desfasurat pe o perioada de 38 de zile in patru unitati de crestere cu capacitatea de 500 litri, din cadrul sistemului recirculant pilot al Universitatii “Dunarea de Jos” din Galati. S-au comparat patru variante experimentale: V1-cu densitatea de stocare de 443 exemplare cu masa medie de 44,45 g/exemplar (39,38 kg/m3); V2-cu densitatea de stocare de 307 exemplare cu masa medie de 63,85 g/exemplar (39,21 kg/m3); V3- cu densitatea de stocare de 217 exemplare cu masa medie de 89,98 g/exemplar (39,05 kg/m3) si V4- cu densitatea de stocare de 138 exemplare cu masa medie de 141,5 g/exemplar (39,05 kg/m3). Indicatorii tehnologici rezultati la sfârsitul experimentului au avut urmatoarele valori: sporul de biomasa a fost de 9,03 kg/m3 (in V1), 9,67 kg/m3 (în V2), 12,19 kg/m3 (în V3) si de 12,88 kg/m3 (in V4); rata cresterii specifice (SGR) a fost de 0,54 g%/zi (in V1), 0,58 g%/zi (in V2), 0,71 g%/zi (in V3) si de 0,75 g%/zi (in V4); factorul de conversie a hranei (FCR) a fost de 2,24 g furaj/g spor biomasa (in V1), 2,09 g furaj/g spor biomasa (in V2), 1,66 g furaj/g spor biomasa (in V3) si 1,57 g furaj/g spor biomasa (in V4). Cercetarile efectuate au aratat ca specia crap are o plasticitate tehnologica remarcabila. Cea mai buna performanta a cresterii s-a inregistrat in varianta in care, la inceputul experimentului, talia pestilor a fost mai mare.
